Comparison Trap

Girls! I’m so excited to present Comparison Trap.

For a little over a year now, I’ve been working on a fun side project. This 4-part video study has a companion 28-day devotional book and a free app. It’s hot off the press and ready for you and your favorite group of girlfriends! Hey guys, this is the perfect gift for those ladies on your shopping list. Yep… just here to help.

I’ll save tales of the process—like the anguish of seeing yourself on screen—for another post on another day. I just wanted to drop in with a quick introduction. And a note that if you’ve bumped into an “out of stock” message on Amazon or elsewhere, there are a few places you can find them right now.

In the meantime, let’s do some giveaways! Comment here, like the Facebook page, or follow the Pinterest board for the chance to win some fun Comparison Trap stuff.

Always a timely message. Comparison is not just everywhere but so insidious as well. The worst is how we don’t just compare ourselves to each other, but how that often leads to demeaning the other to validate ourselves. It’s skinny women being called anorexic to try and make women of other sizes feel better, it’s how we try to find a flaw with someone we deem too beautiful compared to us…
And at the end of it all it’s exhausting to be constantly comparing.
It’s tragic to not realise that God spent as much time on you, and was just as particular about detail, as the very person you think is better. Therefore you too, are just as great…

, it’s exhausting to constantly compare.

I sent this to my sister and my friend too! It is all so INCREDIBLE. I have the mug on my fridge to look at and to feel those words everyday. My husband and I watched the first two parts together. Excited to watch the next two parts. We loved the “OH YEAH” Allie story. So preciously funny!! I can’t wait to frame the four artwork pages. I also love the sticker for my mirror. So fun! All of this will be so close to my heart and life. It will forever help me renew my mind every day, as this age of awareness is not going away. Thank you for putting all of this together. It is such Godly wisdom of truth!

I am so excited to read your book! Comparing ourselves to others is such an epidemic in our culture today. Thank you for providing us with a tool to help combat this “joy stealer”!!!

    Merry Christmas!!!!

Can’t wait to get this! It’s just what I need right now!! I find you and Andy to be so inspirational and motivating. I am so glad I found Gwinnett Church which lead me to your wisdom and encouragement. God knew what he was doing when he placed the person who first invited me to Gwinnett Church into my life! Merry Christmas!

I have the stickers (I cut out the top part to make it a sticker too) on my bathroom mirror, and my daughter (almost 14 years old) saw them and LOVED them. She said, “I want those!” And then she proceeded to tell me about her friend who needs them even more than she does (really lacks self confidence). Gonna need more stickers! What great stuff for women/girls of ALL ages.
    Thank you!!!!

Hi Sandra! Thanks for producing such an awesome resource! I’m in New Zealand and do frequent Skype studies with my best friend back in the UK, this will be great for us to do together…..only trouble is that it seems a little tricky to get hold of outside the US, any chance of it being listed on

I would love to purchase a copy of the devotional but can’t find it on Amazon. The 5 days plan on youversion was such a blessing

Sandra, our Collegiates from Athens Church are now half-way into Comparison Trap. Sooo many revelations have surfaced and been shared/prayed over: “I never realized envy was such a part of my thinking!” “I knew God was love, but now I really get it.”

Can’t thank you and Andy enough for a study we think fits our collegiates like second skin.

As a writer, comparison is so easy to experience! There’s always another author ahead of where I am. I found a Bible study for your book on the app, and WOW, absolutely loved it. I’m thrilled for my friends’s successes, truly, and never want to fall into the trap of measuring us against each other. Thank you for writing this. 🙂

I come across your book on the Holy Bible app. I downloaded your app. But i could not find your book any where in the uk. When will your book be available on itunes uk or in the uk in general?

Hi, I recently found your web page. I have started with my husband’s high school class (9th – 12th) the Secret Sister Activity. 8 girls signed up. So when I came across your web page on Allie’s Rules I printed it off and put in each of their Secret Sister Questionnaire to be mailed. I wanted to send something like Allie’s Rules that is relevant to them for today. I am posting because I have read the reviews of Comparison and was wondering if this would be a good book to have them read or is it more adult? Also, do you have other mini readings like Allie’s Rules I could share with them? I also enjoyed the part that you are a foster parent which one of the girls is a foster child and soon to be adopted she is 17. It has been hard for her and I would love for her to see positive things from this. I had thought about sending parents things to that might be an encouragement to them raising girls or parenting too.
