Need a yummy side dish for your Christmas Dinner? Give this a try!

Grandmama’s Cranberry-Apple Bake

3 cups sliced apples

2 cups raw cranberries

3/4 cup sugar (I use Sucanat or dehydrated cane juice)

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup rolled oats

3/4 cup flour

1/2 cup chopped pecans (or whatever nuts you like)

1 stick of butter

Put sliced apples in the bottom of a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with sugar (not the brown sugar). Wash and drain cranberries and place on top of apples. In a large bowl, mix oats, flour, pecans, melted butter and brown sugar. Sprinkle over fruit and pack it down a little bit. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

Hi there- I learned about Breathing Room at Youversion, downloaded the app and thoroughly enjoyed the “about” segment. It was so funny, and true! This morning I tried to watch the segment about “fear”, but it simply replayed the “about” segment. Part 2 works fine, but there seems to be a glitch in Part 1. Thank you for what you do!

    Hi Kristin,
Part 1 begins with some of the same “couch confessional” material, so let it run past that and it should go right into the first session material after the sketches. Let me know if that’s not correct and you still have trouble!
